St Nic's hosted a brilliant fundraiser in aid of Save the Children, The UN Refugee Agency and the Red Cross who are all helping on the frontline of the refugee crisis. As well as cakes and bric-a-brac, there were also lots of great live bands. I of course spent loads on the tombola to no avail, pipped each time by a cheeky little boy who kept appearing in front of me each time I had a go, and I donated two black bags of clothes, books and other stuff, including about 20 candles.
The event raised nearly £383.38 - massive hat tip to Jonny for Newbury (for that is his name!) for organising.
